Goldilocks and Bear is a play on our nicknames for each other.

Goldilocks, aka Kat, is a writer and bookbinder who fancies herself to be somewhat of a baker, but is definitely a ‘by-the-book’ kinda cook. She enjoys trying out new recipes on her friends, taking careful mental notes to see what is gobbled up, exactly how quickly, and loves old-timey things, including her holga camera.

Bear, aka Aaron, is a web developer with sharp knife skills, whose favorite past-times include, filling up all shelves in the fridge with home-made pickles, hanging hunks of pork and duck in the closets for curing, and exploring the world through the lens of his digital SLR. He also enjoys trying to get Kat to ride her bike to the farmer’s market with him, although she much prefers walking.

Aaron and Kat thought to themselves, a while ago, that it might be kind of fun to try and document all of their adventures and mishaps in their teeny, tiny, rental kitchen.

They live together in Brooklyn, NY with their vegetable plants, a rapidly increasing larder of precious ingredients that they swear get used more than once, and their two crazy sidekicks, a couple of cats named Oliver and Sofia.
